The Wife of the Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Mrs. Akaninyene Uwemedimo, flagged off the third phase of the Big-Catch-Up Routine Immunisation Intensification Exercise at the Primary Health Centre, Ikot Ayan, Ikono 1, reaffirming the council's commitment to improving child healthcare and expanding access to life-saving vaccines.
The exercise is aimed at boosting immunity among children and reducing the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases by ensuring that eligible children receive missed routine immunisations, while encouraging parents and caregivers to embrace the campaign for a healthier Uyo community.
